_____________________________
In March of 2004, along with a copy of the details of my life that led up to my receiving the calling to translate the sealed portion of the gold plates, I sent the leadership of the LDS Church a letter offering to let them take control of the translation of said plates. In the body of the letter, I included the following:
Quote:I know that the General Conference of the Church is close, and that your time is limited. (And please, please, Brethren, DO NOT put the gospel of Jesus Christ into the fray of prejudice, hate, and bigotry that homosexual marriage is creating. Any comments that the leadership of this church makes to the members during Conference will add to their erring hearts, which are already brimming with hate, prejudice and intolerance against anyone that is not a member of the Church. The Lord’s gospel is a message of love and acceptance. You would be wise to reach out with love to those who you believe live in sin and error. No where in His teachings to the Jews or to the Nephites did our Savior teach against homosexuality, but he adamantly commanded us to love our neighbor and our enemies, and refrain from judging one another. Remember this counsel, my brethren, it could save the souls of millions and perpetuate peace in a world that lacks it.
Of course the LDS Church rejected my offer to bring forth the sealed portion through its leadership; and of course, they did not listen to the counsel (which wasn’t mine) about fighting against the right of homosexuals to marry each other. Now, four years later, the LDS Church is using its power and authority over its members to vote for a California state proposition that would overturn a court’s ruling that homosexual marriage should be recognized legally in that state.
Oh, the fools! What hypocrisy! What arrogance to think that they have a right to dictate to another human being how to live one’s life to be happy. I can promise each person who holds a discriminatory view of any kind against any person for any reason, that this person is FAR from the kingdom of God. The LDS people do not know Christ. Though they honor him with their lips, their hearts are far from him.
People who believe in the Bible have been convinced by the interpolations and edits of former homophobic editors and religious leaders that when one man loves another man, or one woman loves another woman, and they enjoy a sexual relationship together, it is contrary to God’s will. Well if this is the case, then Jesus the Christ lived contrary to God’s will. Two of his beloved disciples were homosexual. Though the editors of the New Testament conveniently prevented any reference of their personal relationship from being published, some Gnostic texts confirm the fact. The Sealed Portion—The Final Testament of Jesus Christ is explicit about the Lord’s acceptance of homosexuality,
Quote:From TSP chapter 39:
72 And now, it is not important to point out the various facts of the individual lives of these apostles. And if ye knew of their lives as I know of them, then I would think that those among you, who are wicked, would misjudge them and concern yourselves more with your judgments of them than ye would with the message that they were commanded to give unto the world.
73 Nevertheless, there is one thing that the Spirit would have me write unto you concerning these apostles of the Lord. For I have seen that this thing hath been a source of much contention and misery among you of the latter days. And this contention hath been caused because ye do not understand the words of Christ, nor do ye have the Spirit of Christ, which would keep you from becoming contentious one with another.
74 And now, it is written among you in the words of a later apostle of Christ, even he who was once called Saul, and who, upon changing his life and repenting of his sins, became known as Paul.
75 And many of the words that ye have been given in the scriptures that ye accept as the words of God, are the words of Paul. And there are some of the words of Paul that were inspired of the Holy Ghost, yea, even most of the words of Paul were so inspired.
76 But if ye read the record, ye shall come to know of some contention between Paul and other of the disciples that were with Jesus in the flesh. And the record reads, saying: And some day after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
77 And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. But Paul thought it not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other; and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
78 And now, I, Moroni, have been commanded by the Lord himself to correct this account of the record, that ye shall know the truth behind the contentions of Paul and Barnabas.
79 And that which I shall reveal unto you shall be a means of much rejoicing unto many of our brothers and sisters in the latter days, yea, even many of the children of God who have lived in fear of repression and persecution for that happiness which they have chosen for themselves.
80 For behold, Barnabas and John were united as one in the flesh, evensomuch that they loved each other and slept with each other as a man sleepeth with a woman.
81 And Paul knew of this before and had brought the matter before the other apostles of the Lord who had been with the Lord in the flesh. For Paul was not with the Lord in the flesh and did not see those things which were done among them in the flesh.
82 And Barnabas and John were united in the flesh even in the presence of the Lord, who upon seeing them together said of them: Surely these two love each other exceedingly. O, that there was a man that could love his wife even as John loveth Barnabas. Truly they shall be together in the kingdom of our Father as one.
83 And now, this caused some contention among the other apostles at the time, but they did not rebuke the Lord in that which he said, knowing of themselves that he was truly the Son of God.
84 And now, I, Moroni, have been commanded to expound upon these things that I have revealed unto you. For I have already written unto you that we all have our choice of happiness, according to our individual desires of happiness.
85 And those of our brothers and sisters who desire to be with another brother or sister, who is of the same gender, are justified in this thing according to the flesh.
86 Nevertheless, they are under the same commandments that the Lord hath given to a man concerning a woman, even that a man shall not lust after another man, or a woman, if he hath so committed himself to another.
87 And if a man loveth another man, in which way doth he disobey the words of Christ? Did Christ not teach us that we should love one another? And why should we think that these men who desire to be with each other shall be condemned for that which they do, when we sin in becoming angry at them and persecuting them contrary to the words of Christ?
88 Behold, I say unto you, that they shall also be saved in the kingdom of God. Now they shall not inherit the Celestial kingdom of God, which is reserved for those who use the power of procreation to serve others by providing bodies for the spirit children of God. But they shall be together as friends in the other kingdoms of glory that the Father hath prepared for us based upon our individual desires of happiness.
89 And again, I say unto you, search the words of Christ. Wherein doth he command a man that he shall not lie with another man? I say unto you that he doth not. Behold, the words of Paul say these things, and the words of others who have not spoken by the power of the Spirit, but by the power of their own minds, which have been prejudiced and biased by the traditions and customs among them.
90 And if ye could have all the words of Christ, which he taught to his disciples, then ye would know of these things. But the leaders who have brought forth the words of the Bible, have kept these things from you, believing that they are not the words of Christ, nor should they be made known, and that this thing should not be justified among those of their church.
91 And again, all of the commandments of God are based upon this one true commandment that ye shall love another as ye would have them love you. Therefore, search the words of Christ, not the words of men.
92 And it came to pass that Paul could not travel with Barnabas and John together; though with one, he could do that which the Lord had commanded him, having been chastened by the other apostles in his views that a man should not be with another man.
93 Nevertheless, Paul preached his own doctrine at times unto the people, and misled them in that which he wrote unto them, having given unto them his own opinions and not according to the Spirit of God.
94 Nevertheless, had those who brought forth the words of the Bible left it untouched and unedited by their own hands, which editions were guided by their prejudices and biases, then the full truth regarding these things might have been made known unto the world.
95 And if these things had been made known at the time these things came forth among the children of men, then there would have been less suffering and persecution of those who love one another.
The
first part of chapter 39 speaks of the great hypocrisy of the modern-day LDS leaders and the way they lead and deceive the people. It's a very good read.
However, Moroni’s mention of Barnabas’s and John’s relationship is not the ONLY, nor the most powerful, scriptural relation of how Christ’s teachings not only supported, but affected those who were homosexual in his day. Biblical scholars have yet to figure out why the following incident occurred:
Quote:And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked. (Mark 14:51–52)
The clue of why this incident happened can be found in the fact nowhere in the other gospels was this incident reported. It was reported in “Mark’s” testimony, because it was from the account of “Mark” that the book was created. And who was “Mark”? He was the disciple whose name was John, even the same John who was in love with and had a personal relationship with Barnabas:
Quote:And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark. (Acts 12:25)
Though not reported openly in the annals of Roman or Jewish history, the homosexual community has always been a part of all human societies. Homosexuality is as natural as masturbation; and I know there are only a few who have not masturbated. Is not this act the same as one man pleasing another? If a man masturbates, from which gender is he receiving the pleasure?
During the time of Christ, the homosexual community lived “in the closet” among the Jewish communities of the time. Though openly expressed in Roman culture, it was forbidden among the pious Jews. The only reason why the Jews tolerated the lifestyle was because the Roman laws allowed the practice; and anyone found persecuting or harming a homosexual would be punished by Roman law.
The ultimate demonstration of devotion that one homosexual man had for another was to reveal this love through a public display of affection. This was done in a very explicit and revealing manner. A homosexual man would dress only in a loose linen cloth and approach the man of his affection. He would draw near to the man and leave the cloth at the object of his affection’s feet and then flee naked into the crowd.
As the Roman officials paraded Jesus in public, John, surname Mark, showed the ultimate love and devotion for his friend and master. It was the apostle John who was an open homosexual and let Jesus know how much he loved and appreciated him.
I can assure all the LDS people and all others who are homophobic that in their next incarnation as a human being upon this earth, they will possess the body of the opposite gender. In their new life, they will have the innate desire to have sex with the gender with which they are accustomed to enjoying sex in their present life—they will be homosexual.
In all the pictures published about marriage between two people of the same sex, the countenances of those to be married are always happy and joyful. And in the pictures of those who are fighting the right of a person to exercise free agency and marry whom or what they will, the expressions of hate, frustration, anger, and contention are obvious.
Remember this, ye so-called Christians,
When your Christ comes again, those same twelve apostles who accompanied him will be there also. And in their midst you will see two of them…
…holding hands and loving each other.
What then will you think of your Christ?
Of course, you will want to crucify him once again.
Quote:Christopher,
You said:
"...As the Roman officials paraded Jesus in public, John, surname Mark, showed the ultimate love and devotion for his friend and master. It was the apostle John who was an open homosexual and let Jesus know how much he loved and appreciated him."
Could you please clarify this for me? Are you saying that John surname Mark, "was the apostle John"? By "the apostle John," I mean the author of the 4th gospel - The Gospel of John.
Many accept that John Mark was Peter`s son and that he wrote the gospel of Mark, which are Peter`s memoirs. Now if Mark and John are the same person, then he wrote both the gospel of Mark and also of John. So how come the style of writing is so different?
Also, John was the brother of James and the son of Zebedee, and John Mark is (usually accepted as) Peter`s son.
So if the apostle John is John Mark, then Zebedee and Peter would have to be the same person.
Sometimes I wonder if people truly read the scriptures in which they believe. And when they do, they have human frailties (in other words, “Lucifer” inspires them) that cause them to make up whatever scenario or relation of fact that agrees with them. The “learned” one who asks this question has shown how he wrests the scriptures and misinterprets them according to his own will. Well has this led and will continue to lead to his own destruction.
A “disciple” of Christ is one who follows him. An “apostle” is one who is sent out to teach his word.
Neither Barnabas (whose name was really Joses, surname Barnabas) nor John, surname Mark were one of the original Twelve Apostles. They were later called to be “apostles.” They were original disciples of Christ. It was while they followed Christ as disciples that their relationship as homosexuals was discovered, condoned, and praised by Christ as Moroni describes. They were called to be “apostles” after the Day of Pentecost.
Moroni pointed out that there were “apostles” called who were homosexual; and the little bit of history given in the book of Acts of the New Testament supports the fact. In other words, a homosexual can be called to preach the gospel and do it just as well as a heterosexual—something with which Paul had a hard time.
Wrest the scriptures as you may in an attempt to prove a contradiction in this Marvelous Work and a Wonder and it will be said of you, as Peter wrote:
Quote:
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. (2 Peter 3:16)
